    This panel will discuss U.S. State and Canadian tax incentives, credits and rebates, including how such incentives are typically administered and financed.

    2:00 PM CHAIN OF TITLE, OPTION AGREEMENTS, CAST AGREEMENTS AND OTHER KEY PRODUCTION AGREEMENTS, GUILDS AND UNIONS

    This panel will discuss the principal agreements required for a typical film. Many issues associated with production agreements are often misunderstood. The panel will attempt to de-mystify some of the agreements and explain common pitfalls and traps.

    This panel will review the relationship between music and film. There will be a review of the way in which music is licensed and commissioned for films. The panel will review composer agreements, master use and synchronization license agreements and explain the role of record companies and music publishers and their relationship to the film business.

    While accessible technologies facilitate the distribution of films, television programs and other works to any device, anywhere, anytime, significant questions loom.  How will content creators be paid?  Who will own content?  How do different technologies affect the user experience?  Will television as we know it be supplanted by an always on demand environment?  What are the right deals to cut for digital distribution?
